Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering to play Whiskerwoods Hunt, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register or play.

Your acceptance is recorded at the time of registration, along with your session ID, IP address, the version of these Terms in effect, and a timestamp. This record is retained as evidence of your agreement.

If you are registering on behalf of a child under 13, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. The Game

Whiskerwoods Hunt is a free-to-play outdoor scavenger hunt experience operated by ORR Media LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company. Players explore participating towns to find hidden wooden mice, each marked with a unique QR code. No app download is required. The game is free to play.

The game is made available in partnership with local chambers of commerce, tourism boards, and similar organizations. Availability, mouse locations, and game features may change without notice.

3. Safety Rules

Whiskerwoods Hunt takes place in public outdoor areas. By playing you agree to follow these safety rules at all times:

ORR Media LLC is not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, or losses that occur during gameplay. You participate at your own risk.

4. Assumption of Risk and Liability

Whiskerwoods Hunt involves physical activity in public outdoor areas including sidewalks, streets, and commercial districts. By playing you voluntarily assume all risks associated with outdoor activity, including but not limited to: trip and fall hazards, traffic, uneven terrain, and weather conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ORR Media LLC, its partners, officers, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, or other loss arising from or related to your participation in Whiskerwoods Hunt.

5. Player Conduct

By playing you agree to:

• Play honestly and not tamper with, move, or damage any mouse or QR code
• Respect all businesses, property owners, and other players
• Not use the game for any commercial purpose without written permission
• Not attempt to exploit, hack, or manipulate the game platform
• Not submit false social media posts or misrepresent your activity

ORR Media LLC reserves the right to disqualify any player and remove their data from the leaderboard for violations of these rules.

6. Information We Collect

When you register and play, we collect:

• Player name — entered voluntarily. May be a real name, nickname, or team name.
• Hunt activity — which mice you found and when
• Completion time and score
• IP address — logged at the moment of Terms acceptance as part of the consent record
• Session cookie — expires after 24 hours, contains no sensitive data

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, device identifiers, or GPS location data. For full details see our Privacy Policy.

7. Leaderboard

Your name and score appear on the public leaderboard only if you explicitly opt in after completing your hunt. You may choose not to appear at any time by not opting in. Leaderboard data may be shared with our local chamber of commerce and tourism board partners as part of aggregated reporting.

8. Social Media Bonus Points

You may earn bonus points by voluntarily posting about your hunt on social media using your assigned hashtag and submitting a link or screenshot through the game. This is entirely optional. Submitted posts may be displayed in partner analytics dashboards as examples of player activity. By submitting a post you confirm you have the right to share the content.

9. Google Maps and Location

The hunt map is powered by the Google Maps JavaScript API. When the map loads, Google's servers are contacted and your IP address and browser headers are transmitted to Google as part of that technical process. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Your device GPS is requested solely to show your position on the map. Location data is processed in your browser only and is never transmitted to or stored by ORR Media LLC. You may deny location permission and still play.

10. Children Under 13

Whiskerwoods Hunt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 directly.

A parent or guardian must register on behalf of any child under 13, enter a name, accept these Terms, and supervise gameplay at all times. By completing registration for a child, the parent or guardian accepts full responsibility for that child's participation and safety.

If you believe a child under 13 has registered without parental involvement, contact us at hello@wwhunt.com and we will remove the session data promptly.

11. Intellectual Property

All content in Whiskerwoods Hunt — including but not limited to the game design, character names, backstories, artwork, QR code placement, and software — is the property of ORR Media LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the game without written permission.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Whiskerwoods Hunt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ORR Media LLC does not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. Mouse locations are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible if a mouse has been moved, damaged, or removed by a third party.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the version number and date at the top of this page. If changes are material, the version number will be incremented and returning players will be asked to review and re-accept before playing again.

Continued use of the game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW — MULTI-STATE OPERATION

ORR Media LLC is incorporated in the State of Tennessee and these Terms are governed by Tennessee law. Whiskerwoods Hunt currently operates in Tennessee and Georgia. These Terms and Tennessee's governing law apply to all disputes regardless of the state in which gameplay occurred, to the extent permitted by applicable law. As the Game expands to additional states, this section will be updated to reflect current operating locations. The governing law remains Tennessee regardless of expansion.

15. Contact
